reminders

Spiritual growth is like childbirth. You dilate, then you contract. As painful as it all feels, its the necessary rhythm for reaching the goal of total openness.

Spirituality is an inner fire, a mystical sustenance that feeds our souls. The mystical journey drives us into ourselves, to a sacred flame at our center.

The cornerstone of the ego's teaching is: "The Son of God is guilty." The cornerstone of the Holy Spirit's teaching is: "The Son of God is innocent."

~ Marianne Williamson

Forgiveness is the secret beauty in any spiritual seeker's life. Not to forgive is to maintain the passions bottled up within us. Then we are never empty enough to lift ourselves in our soaring meditations.

Disappointment can come only to those who make an appointment with the future.

Yes, God is motionless, because there isn't any place where He is not. When a child is sitting in his mother's lap, he can cry for a million things, but he cannot cry for his mother to come. We are all in the lap of the infinite Truth. It is nearer than your own eyelashes. There is no distance between you and It.

Real virakti, or true detachment, consists of our mind’s firm attachment to the Supreme. Without this attachment to the Higher, detachment from the lower is impossible... Once the mind has become fascinated by a deep devotion to the Mother’s feet, that mind, in its intoxicating sense of joy and lived sense of satisfaction, forgets to roam about with clinging attachments amid the ephemeral objects of the world. This natural self-withdrawal of the mind is called the state of virakti, or perfect detachment.

If you have a dream, don't waste your energies explaining why.

~ Paulo Coelho

If you really want to know your mind, the body will always give you a truthful reflection, so look at the emotion, or rather feel it in your body. If there is an apparent conflict between them, the thought will be the lie, the emotion will be the truth.

~ Eckhart Tolle
